Currency Converter

I've prepared approximate reference exchange rates for casual estimation. The foreign exchange market is, I find, one of the more interesting demonstrations that numbers are not fixed. These are not trading or payment quotes.

Disclaimer: These are approximate reference rates for casual estimation only, based on a static early-2025 table reviewed manually during site maintenance. They are not trading, bank, remittance, or payment quotes. Check a live financial source or your provider's quoted rate before making a transaction.

How this calculation works

Methodology: This converter uses a static table of approximate reference rates against USD and converts by normalizing the input amount to USD before converting to the target currency. Rates are reviewed manually as part of site maintenance rather than fetched live on every request; the in-page rate table is labeled as an early-2025 reference snapshot.

Important caveats

  • Rates are approximate reference rates for casual estimation, not trading quotes, card-network rates, bank quotes, remittance quotes, or payment guarantees.
  • Check a live financial source or your provider's quoted rate before making a transaction.
  • Actual card, bank, remittance, or cash exchange rates may include spreads, fees, minimums, timing differences, and jurisdiction-specific rules.
  • Do not use this page for trading, legal, tax, remittance, accounting, or payment decisions that require a live quoted rate.
